What is your turnaround time?
Our standard turnaround time is 7–10 business days. Fabrication begins once 50% of your deposit has been received and all project details are finalized. If you have a specific deadline, let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Which is better: quartz or granite?
Both are great options, but granite is the more durable choice. As a natural stone, it's highly resistant to heat and scratches, making it ideal for busy kitchens. Quartz is low-maintenance and doesn't require sealing, but because it's made with resins, it isn't as heat-resistant and can be damaged by hot pots or pans. The best choice depends on your style, budget, and how you use your space.
What is the upkeep for granite vs quartz or quartzite?
Quartz is the lowest-maintenance option and does not require sealing—just clean it with mild soap and water. Granite and quartzite are natural stones and should be sealed periodically to help protect against stains. With proper care and routine cleaning, all three are durable, long-lasting countertop choices.
What is the difference between polished, leathered, and honed finishes?
A polished finish has a smooth, glossy surface that enhances the stone's color and natural patterns. A leathered finish has a soft, textured, matte appearance that offers a more natural look while helping to hide fingerprints and smudges. A honed finish is smooth with a matte, non-reflective surface, giving the stone a clean, understated look.
How does the measuring and estimating process work?
We offer free measurements and estimates. Once you've selected your stone, we'll schedule a time to measure your space. After the measurement is complete, we'll email you an invoice with your estimate based on the material you chose.
What if I don't find a stone I like?
No problem! If you don't find the perfect slab in our inventory, you can visit the SGM Warehouse in Dalton, GA to browse an even larger selection.
